AMHERST YOUTH LACROSSE
Spring 2024 has started!
1 April, 2024
Amherst Recreation will be continuing to run all operations of the 2024 Youth Lacrosse Season, including the management of registrations and scheduling. The seasons will start on April 1st (except Mini-mites) and run to late May or early June. Programs will be offered at 6 levels:
Mini-mites (aged 8 and under) | ~Pre-K to Grade 2 | Open to boys and girls, clinics and scrimmages. Meets Sunday afternoons at 1pm at Groff Park starting on April 28th.
Boys Bantams (aged 10 and under) | ~Grades 3 and 4 | Practices and games, including travel across Western MA and Northern CT. Practices on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6pm - 7pm at Amherst Regional Middle School. The first day of practice is Wednesday, April 3rd. Games will typically be on Saturdays.
Girls Bantams (aged 10 and under) | ~Grades 3 and 4 | Practices and games, including travel across Western MA and Northern CT. Practices on Tuesdays from 5pm - 6:30pm and Thursdays from 4pm - 5:30pm at Groff Park. The first day of practice is Tuesday, April 2nd. Games will typically be on Saturdays.

Boys Seniors (aged 14 and under) | ~Grades 7 and 8 | Practices and games, including travel across Western MA and Northern CT. Practices on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5pm - 6:15pm at Groff Park. The first day of practice is Wednesday, April 3rd. Games will typically be on Saturdays.
Please note there is no Girls Seniors team. Girls in grade 7 and 8 who are in the Amherst Regional Middle School are eligible to play for the Junior Varsity team.
Field locations in 2024 are in flux to the impacts from the closure of the Fort River fields.

Please consider being a coach! There are head coaching and assistant coaching opportunities available at all levels. An extra adult on the sideline makes for a better experience for our youth. No prior lacrosse or coaching experience required. For questions and inquiries, please contact Jose Allen.
